The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. • Hourly pay rate of $18.31 to $20.71; based on previous relevant experience
• Hiring bonus: 5% of the annual salary, paid upon successfully completing on-boarding (background checks and credentialing) and after six months of employment.

• Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:45am and 5:30pm with one day a week from 10:15am to 7:15pm.

Primary Duties for Administrative Assistant:

• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the office,
• Handle a multi-line phone system, routing messages and calls
• Obtain and enter into the Electronic Medical Record system all necessary registration information for clients, update when necessary
• Manage client files (setting up new charts, maintaining active charts, processing closed charts, and all other electronic file-related activities)
• Accurately maintain therapists’ and doctors’ schedules
• Request, receive and record fee payments from clients

Administrative Assistant Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

High school education required; some college education preferred

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year experience in working with the public in customer service position in a medical office setting is required.
