Assistant Professor of Psychology, Middlebury College, MIDDLEBURY, VT -- The Psychology Department invites applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with a focus in Social Psychology, to begin in Fall 2025. The area of specialty within Social Psychology is open but preference will be given to expertise in cultural or industrial-organizational psychology. The successful candidate should have an active research program in social psychology that involves undergraduate students. The candidate will also teach an average of 4.5 courses per year, including a foundation course in Introductory Psychology, a course in Statistics or Research Methodology, as well as a core, elective, and/or advanced seminar course in their area of scholarly expertise. Occasionally, the candidate will contribute to Middlebury's First Year Seminar Program and Winter Term course offerings. In addition, all faculty are required to contribute to the college in the form of service. To support the career development and advancement of our new colleagues, both the Psychology Department and Middlebury College offer active mentoring programs.
