Description: The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation (HHPR) at Baylor University seeks to fill the following faculty position:
Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Sport Pedagogy starting August 2025. This position will direct the Graduate Sport Pedagogy Program. Primary responsibilities include teaching, course design and instruction, internship oversight, advising and mentoring, assessment and evaluation. Candidate must have a terminal degree in pedagogy, kinesiology, or related field. Candidate must have at least 3 years of teaching experience at either the college or K-12 level. Teacher certification in physical education is preferred. A record of scholarly productivity is also expected for promotion and will be preferred.
This position is a 10-month appointment. Teaching opportunities during the summer may be available. There is an opportunity for promotion within the clinical line. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences,
Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, including two Master's degrees and a Ph.D. in Exercise and Nutrition Science.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and/or teach undergraduate and graduate pedagogy courses.
- Provide academic advising to students, mentor graduate students in their research projects/professional development, and supervise student teachers during field experiences.
- Collaborate with programs and partners on and off campus to ensure program growth and suitability for diverse student professional interests.
- Investigate the feasibility of outreach lab-based programs that would provide teaching/coaching opportunities for students, support scholarship around teaching/coaching methodology, and benefit the community (homeschool programs, etc.).
- Explore and implement an expansion of the Master's degree in Sport Pedagogy program to include a formalized recreation concentration.
