Job Description

Adecco is hiring immediately for a Cable Technician at our client site in Flower Mound, TX. Starting pay is at $27.00.  As a Cable Technician, you will read and interpret various types of build documents to assemble servers and switches into data IT racks.  Install Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and fiber optic cables utilizing industry standards and best practices.

Requirements: 

3+ years of prior experience cabling complex data rack systems.

May be required to pass a Technical Aptitude Test.

Strong knowledge of Data Center technology, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.

Must understand data rack cabling standards and best practices

Proficient in utilizing cable and fiber test equipment.

Handling Hard Drive devices and keeping ESD policy standards.

Ability to read and interpret various types of build document, schematics and cable running lists

Safely operate various handtools, maintain accurate inventory, and maintain safety standards.

Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.

Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.

Time-management skills.

Eagerness for continuous learning.

Educational Requirements (review)

High School Diploma, BICSI certifications preferred
