Duties and Responsibilities: Report to the Pastor and work collaboratively with other parish staff to manifest the parish's mission that calls to enable its parishioners to live the life of Jesus Christ and to share their God-given talents for the benefit of each other and of society. Planning, preparation, and execution of music for all liturgical celebrations including weddings and funerals. Play organ/piano for most English Sunday Masses as well as weddings and funerals. Rehearse, direct, and accompany Parish Choir. Coordinate with Assisting Organist, Contemporary Choir Director, and Spanish Choir Director. Schedule all musicians, choirs and cantors. Ensure liturgical ministers are properly trained and scheduled. Maintain inventory of liturgical supplies. Prepare worship aids. Chairs, schedules and records notes for Liturgy Committee meetings and administers Liturgy and Music budgets. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of Catholic music and liturgy. Catholic in good standing. Leadership, communication, planning and organizing skills and responsiveness to facilitating the worship life of the parish. Supervisory experience preferred.
