Description:

Flagler College is seeking a dynamic and experienced adjunct faculty member to join our Communications department, teaching film studies courses. The successful candidate may teach an introductory course in Film History or a specialized course in National Film Movements. The courses focus on history and theory, not the creation of film projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and committed to student success. 

Responsibilities include:

· Teach two, 75-minute lectures each week on the Flagler College St. Augustine campus. Classes are scheduled on Monday/Wednesday afternoons.

· Develop and deliver engaging and challenging course materials for students in film studies courses.

· Evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and written and oral communication.

· Collaborate with department faculty to ensure consistency and quality of instruction.

· Communicate with students both in class and through the online course management system.

Qualifications:
· Master’s degree or higher in film studies, cinema studies, or a closely related field.· A record of excellence in teaching and/or related professional experience· Strong communication skills· Experience teaching film studies courses at the undergraduate level preferred
