Responsibilities

The Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Hematology Oncology Inpatient Pharmacist for the Methodist Campus to join our Cancer Care Pharmacy team. This is a full-time position rotating days and evenings with every fourth weekend. The individual in this role will be responsible for comprehensive medication management on the inpatient service for hematology, medical oncology, and for the outpatient hospital-based clinics for hematology and bone marrow transplant.

Qualified applicants will have the following skills and training: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience includes at least two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience. Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork. Ability to communicate effectively, works collaboratively with others, organizes time well, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate is expected to become a PGY2 Oncology Resident preceptor and meet the requirements set forth by ASHP.

The following candidate attributes are preferred: Completion of an accredited PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency, or five years’ experience as an oncology pharmacist. Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy. History of scholarly activities including publication and scientific meeting presentations. Experience and/or interest in teaching.

  • Computer experience. Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and team work. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organize time well, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The following are preferred: Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency. Experience of working in a large, progressive academic medical center. History of scholarly activities including publication and scientific meeting presentations. Experience and / or interest in teaching. 

License or Certification

  • License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Minnesota or eligibility for licensure.
