Description of Work Unit

The CEE Department at CSU is recognized both nationally and internationally for its education, research, and service and outreach programs, and is ranked in the top 40 of such programs in the USA. The CEE Department consists of 36 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 16 research scientists/scholars, 27 research associates, and 11 administrative professionals. Position Summary
The Bailey Groundwater Resources Lab () in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of water quality modeling in hydrologic systems. The postdoctoral scholar will work on multiple projects, funded by the USDA-ARS, USDA-NIFA, and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for simulating the fate and transport of salinity, selenium, and phosphorus in watersheds of varying types and regions within Colorado and the United States. The post-doc will have opportunities to collaborate with graduate students in the Groundwater Resources Lab and research groups at the USDA-ARS. The post-doc will also have opportunities to present at national conferences and publish project results in appropriate journals. The successful candidate will have experience in hydrologic modeling (both watershed modeling and groundwater modeling), water quality modeling, Python programming, Fortran programming, and publishing high-impact journal articles. We are seeking an independent researcher with strong communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
