Description:  

We are searching for Senior Medical Planner who will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the medical programming and space planning of our projects. Responsibilities will include client interaction and extensive knowledge of basic medical equipment requirements. Candidate must be capable of working with consultants and staff assisting in the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents, as well as being able to assist with construction administration. Candidate should be experienced with current building code applications.

Job Requirements:

Degree in architecture or other relevant discipline.

Minimum of 6 - 10+ years of medical equipment planning experience, ideally with some project management experience.

Ability to formulate and participate in project interviews and presentations.

Candidate will need to demonstrate the proven ability to interact professionally with healthcare clients and design team members including demonstration of familiarity with clinical processes, facility management requirements and knowledge of current medical equipment technology.

Have the skills necessary to work effectively with principal-in-charge and project architect/project design team to maintain project progress within specified fee structure, quality management and document quality standards.

Familiarity with architectural practice, including documentation and phasing

Familiarity with construction methods, materials and costs

Understanding of building systems

Understanding of code requirements, industry standards, space requirements, best practices and emerging trends for hospitals and other healthcare project types

Ability to take projects from initial concepts through design development

Ability to lead planning groups for large projects

Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.

Position requires good written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Word, Excel and REVIT/AutoCAD a plus.
